        Established 1991

Experimental Aircraft and Powerplant Newsforum for Designers and Builders, Contact! is a publication of Aeronautics Education Enterprises, a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation which has continuously served the experimental aircraft movement since 1990.

We've all heard it said, "There's no such thing as a free lunch."

Well maybe there is...

Here's a short list of a few things that are free to
homebuilders, experimental aviators,
Compliments of CONTACT! Magazine.

1) FREE CONTACT! Magazine Issues
Click either image for the link

We've recently placed a total of 10 issues of our magazine online and made them available for a free download.

The catch? None, other than that we hope you'll enjoy it enough to subscribe.
This is in essence a test to see if we will be offering an electronic version in the near future, so your feedback would be appreciated.

2) CONTACT! Magazine's
Youtube page
http://www.youtube.com/user/contactmag

While there are a few personal videos mixed in, the vast majority of the videos are experimental aviation related, and are the types you probably won't see any other place. Some of these videos were shot while conducting the  interview for a related article.

The catch? None at all.

3) The Alternative Engine
Round-up

CONTACT! Magazine has been sponsoring a free fly-in for several years. It's moved around a little, and in 2011 it moved once again. This year it will continue to be held in conjunction with the Golden West Fly-in (as it was the last two years) in Marysville CA and will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2013.

If you are flying-in with an aircraft powered by a Sube, Corvair, Ford, Chevrolet, Rotary, Viking, Geo/Suzuki or any other auto (or motorcycle) conversion and would like to present a forum (or even if you are currently building one and can't bring it), please contact me.

The catch? In order for it to be free, you must fly in with an experimental aircraft that has an "alternative engine" and be willing to put it on display with the others. This will entitle you and the occupants who flew in with you to attend the fly-in for free. And for you that have an experimental (data plate removed) hot-rod Lycoming, Continental, or any number of non-certified, non-auto conversion engines (Konig, Briggs, Verner, Kohler, UL, Jabiru, Generac, Hirth, Deltahawk, etc.) we consider those an "alternative engine" too.

The catch? Absolutely none. This is how we "give back" to the community. Unfortunately, if you don't fly in with a qualifying aircraft, you'll have to pay the normal rate to get into the Golden West event, but there won't be any additional fee to attend the Round-up.

4) Facebook

You can keep up with the latest experimental aviation news by following us on Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/www.CONTACTMagazine

https://www.facebook.com/Patrick.Panzera

The catch? Facebook itself.   :)
But you don't need to sign-up or otherwise give any personal information to Facebook in order to read the CONTACT! Magazine pages.

5) We need your article.

As you may have noticed, as the editor and publisher of CONTACT! Magazine, I'm always on the hunt for articles.

Each of these publications are about you, the homebuilder. Whether you are building or flying an experimental aircraft, we need your story! If you don't think you have a story worth sharing, this short video may help.

While not every plane or project can be highlighted within the pages of Sport Aviation, or KITPLANES, your fellow readers still want to see your accomplishments, including any tips you may have to share, or tools you may have created along the way. All we need is 500-1500 words, 5-10 photos and a brief description or caption for each. If you would like to write more, it is encouraged, and don't be surprised if we contact you to ask more about your project. The best stories come from you, so please don't be bashful.

The catch? You may get mobbed by fans, you could get a movie deal, or you could get nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Thank you for reading this through to the end. I truly hope that you benefit from reading this and taking advantage of these things that are there for you.

If you're willing, please share this email with those who you think can benefit.

Sincerely,
Patrick Panzera
