Forum Review

Each month, Experimenter will highlight a popular forum from the more than 500 forums and presentations that occur each year during EAA’s annual convention.

  • Listen to Greg Richter (an approx. 55 MB mp3 download), of Blue Mountain Avionics, in a forum presented at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2008 and follow along by reading Aircraft Wiring For Smart People (a 1.6 MB PDF download), Greg's a step-by-step guide to wiring your airplane simply, effectively, and inexpensively.

Greg Richter grew up in central Georgia and picked up electronics early. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech holding a bachelor of electrical engineering degree and is a Grumman Aerospace scholar and a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers). Richter has been involved in software, systems engineering, RF, analog and digital electronic design for more than 20 years. After building his own Cozy with a Mazda 13B turbo engine, he developed the highest performing EFIS (electronic flight information system) for small planes with Blue Mountain Avionics.

  • Listen to Jon Goldenbaum of Poly Fiber Aircraft Coatings explain the intricacies of fabric covering in this forum recorded during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2008. (LARGE FILE: 43 mb mp3; may take a long time to download)
